Saltwater Meet & Greet

The club conducts saltwater meet and greet days on a regular basis where you have the opportunity to join experienced saltwater flyfishers on the water for a day, and learn the skills necessary to successful saltwater flyfishing.  These are really great days which are followed up by a BBQ and plenty of follow-up discussions and tips.

Saltwater Fly Tying

An essential ingredient in saltwater flyfishing is the flies and once a month there are fly tying sessions where you will learn to tie all the flies necessary for flyfishing the waters around Sydney.

Club Speakers

The club regularly has speakers talking at the monthly meetings with good information on saltwater flyfishing, so come to a meeting, become a member and find out all the good information.

Competition

There is nothing quite like a little competition to hone the skills, so the Club has a Saltwater competition, for both waders and boaties.  This is really a fun event followed by a BBQ and lots of yarns

Casting

The club castmaster is at every club meeting to give individual casting tuition on the oval before the meeting starts.  Many members new and old make good use of this facility to improve their casting skills.  In addition the club also runs an accuracy casting session once a month to improve the accuracy of your casting so that you can put the fly just where you want to.
