A bumper issue with great reports on the Big RIver and New Zealand fishing trips .

This month's FlyRodder is chock-a-block with fishing reports.  Rob Cummins relays the fishing five FlyRodders experienced in the Southern Island of NZ.   Five members also tackled northern Tasmania with fish giving our anglers a challenging time.  Justin also reports on another five members who took on the challenges of the Thredbo River.

The first edition of the FlyRodder bu our new Editor Jason Hemens!   John Brassil reports on the December Tassie trip where 12 Fly Rodders gather in the vicinity of Longford for a week of fishing.  Meanswhile in NSW some mebers of the Club fished Long Plain and Graham Partington recouns that week of fishing.

In his regular column, the President provides an overview of Committee members of the contributions they make to the Club.  Everytime this year, Club members venture to, and enjoy the Geehi.  Graham Partington gives an account of his time of how the trip panned out this time.

In this month's Fly Rodder, the highlights are the recounts of the Wallerawang CAS Gone Fishing Day and the Club's Skills  Weekend in Wallerawang.

On the fishing report front, this month the President recounts his successful fishing trip in Spain.  Two big Club events, these being the Photo Competition and the Annual Fly tie-in, are detailed.

David Caddies discusses the mend, how important it is in the fishing process to remove drag and techniques to improve your mending skills.  Details about away events for the new season are given.

A quiet time with the closure of the season and in terms of fishing trips there is little to report .  However, the review of last month's speaker is well worth reading and so is the read about the great raffle prize for September.

With the closure of the rivers, a limited number of fishing reports but Nick Croom recounts his trip in the Snowy Mtns with two other mates.  Highlight of this month, is Gavin's interview with John Baricevic, Club Member and renowned rod builder.
