The Reverse Blind Loop

It wasn’t that long ago I began using Hollow Braid Backing for almost all my types of fly reels. I was looking everywhere for a neat knot for the backing loop which connects to the back of the fly line. The last thing you need during a hook-up is bumping and jamming as the knot runs through your guides. It took a few days but I managed to find The Reverse Blind Loop.

Reverse Blind Loop

This knot actually contains no knots but a series of loops reversed on each other. It allows you to create a loop to loop knot to the back of your fly line which allows for a smooth running through your fly rod guides. The Reverse Blind Loop is 100 percent strong and during the process of the Hollow Braid splice allows you to adjust the size of the loop with ease.
